A MORE CONNECTED WAY TO GIVE AND GET HELP

A new way to ask for help.
A better way to answer.

Soteria Beacon is building a connected safety platform for the moments when people need support—and for the people who want to help.

A mobile app in development.
A vision that reaches further.

PERSONAL SUPPORTTRUSTED PEOPLEA WIDER VISION

Needing help is human.
Reaching it can be complicated.

You can feel unsafe without knowing what kind of help to ask for. You can care about someone without knowing what they need. You can notice something important without knowing where that information belongs.

Soteria begins with a conviction: people deserve clearer ways to ask, understand, and contribute.

From a moment of uncertainty to a culture of looking out for one another.

Soteria’s ambition reaches from individual moments to a broader change in how we give and get help. Different kinds of need deserve different ways to reach support.

01 / FOR YOU

More ways to reach out.

Discreet ways to ask for support, prepare for uncertain moments, and stay connected to people you trust—even when speaking openly feels difficult.

02 / FOR EACH OTHER

More clarity about helping.

Support should be easier to offer, too. Soteria’s ambition includes the people who want to make a difference in someone else’s life.

03 / FOR OUR COMMUNITIES

A wider possibility.

A vision with room to grow across communities, organizations, and everyday life, shaped by the people and partnerships that help bring it forward.

Soteria is in development. The wider vision describes our ambition for the future.

The first app is the beginning.
The vision reaches further.

The need for support reaches into every part of life. We see an opportunity to build something that can grow with that need, through thoughtful development and meaningful partnerships.

POTENTIAL FOR IMPACT

A need that crosses boundaries.

People need support at different ages, in different circumstances, and in places that look nothing alike. Soteria is being built with that wider human need in mind.

PARTNERSHIP POTENTIAL

More places to make a difference.

We see opportunities to work with organizations across industries that share a commitment to people’s wellbeing. The right partnerships could extend Soteria’s reach and deepen its impact.

LONG-TERM AMBITION

A lasting change in how we help.

Our ambition is for reaching out to feel more natural, and for more people to see a place for themselves in helping others. That is the change we want Soteria to contribute to.

Built with care.
Worthy of trust.

Technology intended for people in vulnerable moments carries a responsibility. Privacy, accessibility, and honesty guide how we build.

Your choices matter.

Consent, control over information, and clear participation are central to the design.

Communication takes many forms.

People may be unable to speak, unable to hear a call, or unable to ask openly. Accessibility belongs in the design from the beginning.

Trust needs honest answers.

People deserve clear information about what a technology can do and where its limits are.

A summer of building.
A foundation taking shape.

Across summer 2026, the idea has developed into working software and a distinct design identity. The focus now is completing, testing, and refining the first app.

WORKING SOFTWARE

An idea you can build on.

A real mobile application is taking shape, with working interactions and a consistent experience.

DEVELOPMENT & TESTING

Care in the details.

Ongoing testing and controlled demonstrations help refine the software as development continues.

INVENTION

Two provisional filings.

Sara authored and filed two U.S. provisional patent applications for Soteria Beacon in April 2026.

In development. External safety services are not live. Native-device validation and service integrations remain part of the work ahead. Soteria is not currently available for emergency use.

One idea.
A much bigger possibility.

Sara Elizabeth HeishmanFounder & Inventor, Soteria Beacon
“No one should have to feel that staying silent is their safest option.”

I’m building Soteria to change the way people ask for help—and the way we show up for one another.

What began as an idea for one situation has grown into a much larger vision. As I build, I see opportunities for partnerships across industries and communities that could extend Soteria’s impact far beyond the first app. That possibility keeps pushing me to think bigger while building the foundation carefully.

My ambition is to change the way people think about asking for help—and what becomes possible when more people and organizations can contribute. I see opportunities for partnerships across industries, with the potential to bring Soteria into more of the places where people live, work, and spend time. The first app is the beginning of that vision.

That possibility is what keeps me building. This year, I have turned an idea into designs, two provisional patent applications, and working software. I’m laying the foundation for something that can grow, with care for the people who may one day depend on it.

Soteria takes its name from the Greek personification of safety and deliverance. To me, it represents the bridge between needing support and being able to reach it—and between wanting to help and knowing how to contribute. That is the bridge I’m building.

Help build the
future of support.

We’re bringing together the people, expertise, and partnerships to turn Soteria’s full vision into reality.
